This testimony will blow your
socks off. I have known him for over 15 years and he's one worship leader with
such a heart and passion for God. He carries such a grace and a unique anointing. I have been greatly blessed and inspired by his ministry
Gbenga
Adebodun is an ordained Pastor who resides in Abuja Nigeria. He’s been
in the music ministry for over two decades, started
singing in a choir in 1985 and has
served in several churches as music Director/ Worship leader
He is a
recording artiste, a vocal coach & a consultant who trains worship teams, choirs,
vocal groups & individuals in music ministry. I think I was in one of his trainings.
He currently travels around ministering in meetings within & outside
Nigeria.
I knew he had a mind blowing testimony and asked him if
he would love to share this with iTestify
and he said yes, however it took him ages before he responded and I would
not stop asking until he delivered phewww lol, once when he saw my message he replied
and said ‘Gosh now I am scared of you’ hahahah, don’t think I am scary
though. He is quite busy and I really do appreciate his taking out time to
respond to me.
When I eventually read his testimony I was like wow now I
understand why it took you so long. In his own words ‘Now you
see why it took me that long to send I had to condense 3 experiences’. He is a
very funny and jovial person which made the process of waiting really
interesting.
Now I am going to let you read his
testimony for yourself and I promise it will stir your faith, like it did minne. There is nothing that God cannot do. I
don’t know how He did it, but He kept Gbenga and I know that He can keep you
too!
Gbenga: On the 13th of October
2013, I had an ordeal that I practically saw the hand of God at work. I
personally experienced the Goodness of God!
It was a Sunday & I was in church
(Graceville Christian Centre Abuja Nigeria), even led the last session of
praise after the service I was going home happily feeing fulfilled for being
used of God.
I didn't drive my car to church that day, So had to go with a taxi. In
the process of crossing the road on foot to get a taxi, I somehow forgot the
single lane had become a dual carriage route; (terrorism in Nigeria made most churches
put barricades in front & around the premises & others block roads to
divert vehicles) I crossed the first set of cars & somehow
totally forgot to look the other way.
Next I knew I found myself in my house 5
days later with 2 assistants from my church who had been taking turns in taking
care of me. I was weak & had pain all over.
I was told a fast moving jeep hit me at
top speed; the driver with 3 kids in the car in a rush to get home after
service must have been distracted. The impact was so bad that my head smashed
through the windscreen, my left collar bone was fractured I had a couple of
broken ribs on both thorax, I went unconscious immediately after the impact. I
still have a 5day loss of memory till date.
I was rushed to the General Hospital by
members of my church who were still around my clothes soaked with my blood
gushing out of my face from cuts on my head.
The hospital I was admitted in was going to
undergo a fumigation exercise so patients were discharged & critical cases
referred to other hospitals. I was discharged hence my being home after 5days. On the 6th day I started having great
difficulties breathing & by the 7th day I was breathless panting like I was
out of air, the pain from my fractured ribs & collar bone was so
excruciating that I prayed asking God to take me Home. I was rushed to a
private hospital & X-ray showed blood in my right lung.
I was admitted again & Surgery was done,
a tube inserted in my lungs for blood drainage. I was in the hospital again
being treated & monitored for 2 weeks on. I was happy when finally the tube was removed
& I was discharged after 2 weeks of round the clock treatment &
breathing exercises.
I thought it was all over, I went to visit a friend
to appreciate their support during the ordeal & when I got back home I
started having terrible stomach pains. My digestive system hadn't adjusted to
taking normal meals; before morning I had visited the toilet to pass out blood,
food & stuff like 18 times. By morning I had rectal protrusion, I couldn't sit,
I was in pains again; Long story I went back to the hospital for surgical
removal. Had a successful surgery again.
It was a painful experience but I had my
church family there with me. My pastor & associates were a huge Blessing
coming daily to check on my progress. The Dude who hit me was shown the mercy
of God. He wasn't allowed to pay the bills; my church took care of all the
bills, with the care team bringing food regularly for me!
My friends were there for me too they all
helped me survive the experience in their own way,
After the surgeries I have been to the
hospital only once for a check-up. In a year I had a Thanksgiving concert in
church. I saw the healing miracle of God. Fractured ribs & collar bone
healed so fast! Scars barely visible on my head & face. No broken
hand or leg
